Our mission is to promote and maintain continuity of care for patients within the context of family and community. We have both clinic and hospital level of General Practice with flexible patient beds, 2 exam rooms, patient education room, computerized medical records and radiographic image access.

 We treat mainly the conditions of the internal medicine, determining the diagnose and then providing therapy for chronic and common diseases such as fever, hypertension, diabetes, metabolic syndrome and psychosomatic problems as well as performing minor surgery. Health check-ups, counseling and health management are also part of our program. A personal health report and life-style suggestions are given to every patient who visits our clinic and our health promotion center. We also follow up our patients to achieve the best preventive and therapeutic result.

 We cooperate with the University of Minnesota Medical Center and West VirginiaUniversityHospital, U.S.A, and maintain good communication with them. Academic exchanges are carried out every year.

 Our Department also provides the base for the General Practice residency program, currently with 11 residents plus additional physicians from other hospitals. Our faculty and staff (5 attending and 4 fellows) promote patient-centered care as well as teaching and research.

Our services are available 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Specialists are available 8:30am-11:30am Monday, through Friday. Dr. Matthaus¡¯consultation time is 9:00am-12:00am Friday.
